Don’t try to confine Misokkasu to a specific kind of music or they’ll bolt out the door as evidenced by “Fukaki mori no Waltz.”
Also do make them be something they aren’t. Misokkasu avoid the trappings of punk, rap, idol pop and other genres just to play their own stuff. It’s poppy rock, which you’ve heard as they were cool enough to do tracks for the Food Wars anime. Well now they have a new album dropping in September and as backed by Avex, you know it’s probably pretty damn good.
“Fukaki mori no Waltz” jams hard, but vocalist Destroy Haru Kichi can really sing and that’s what makes their sound so popular. Look for their new album Fukaki Mori no Meiro on 9.21.2016 at CDJapan.
