Punk Ska Collabo time! Tokyo Ska Paradise and all their members decide to go the extra yardage and get 10-Feet on board for their collaboration single “Senko.”
The song is a great mix of punk ska and a KILLER rap break down that will get you jumping around. We almost get the whole song for this, too, but alas, it’s gets chopped at the end.
If you love it, you should buy it. Senko is out 12.4.2013 at Yesasia and CDJapan.
Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra’s official website is here. 10-Feet’s is here.
Feelflip might be on the government’s watchlist with their highly contagious and infectious punk ska. Put on your gas masks when watching “O.K. Man.”
Whatever these dudes are planning, it involves tooty ska horns and frenetic guitars. Mosh on Feelflip and get your adrenaline pumping.
This song is on touch the monolith CD+DVD out 6.5.2013. Preup at CDJapan.
The album cover for Feelflip’s touch the monolith is like a 4-eyed monkey. Check it at their official website.
Get ready for the blast. DAD MOM GOD are rolling down Rodeo with a “Shot Gun” and it’s a wonderfully grungy garage ska sound.
You can tell DAD MOM GOD are channeling their best Madness, and it sounds great. DAD MOM GOD return with a new album entitled Broken Noses this February, and from the title you can guess that this album is a little more dirty and hard.
Event the video looks like bad VHS quality film, so gritty is definitely what they are going for..
Even harder still, is how to find their new album. I found it over at Amazon.jp on 2.6.2013.
So much drama in the DMG at their official website.
There are so many members of Show-Ska that they fill up an entire room. Check out this performance video of “新しい始まり” oh baby!
It’s ska, but mostly it’s just a full brass band with drums, guitar and keyboard. I just want to know where I can get one of those snazzy purple and blue jackets.
Their album Zoku Yoko SKA Gurentai Keppuroku was released on 11.7.2012 and you can snatch it up at Yesasia or CDJapan.
Toot over to Show-Ska’s official website for the latest.
Mirror Mirror on the wall… who is the drunkest of them all? These guys. Feelflip take ska punk to the bar in their “Drunken Drunker” MV.
And from what we can tell, 4 things can happen from drinking too much. 1) you start dancing. 2) you get in a fight. 3) you get really hungry and 4) you get thrown out of the bar.
But hey at least you didn’t puke. Get a black eye when picking up For Fighting released 9.19.2012 at CDJapan.
Do you feel it baby? I do too at Feelflip’s official website.
Over 40+ artists from Japan and a few big names from the U.S. helped for Punk Ska Unity last year as a response to orphans of the 2011 Japan Tusnami. This video and song was one of the results of this amazing collaboration. Take a look at the video and see who you recognize from the many Punk Ska groups like Skall Heads, Shakalabbits, and Angelo Moore from Fishbone.
Awesome stuff. Read more about Punk Ska Unity at their official website and on Facebook.
Watch Nakano Yoshie dance like a cat in the blinding video for Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra’s “黄昏を遊ぶ猫 .” It’s better for your eyes when she stands in front of the spotlight.
Yes the band gets a lot of guest artists on their 17th album entitled Yokubo. So get your SKA on. The album drops on 11.14.2012 and features Atsushi Yanaka and some dude named Dennis Bovell. Preup at Yesasia or CDJapan.
Hit up Nakano Yoshie’s official website and Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra’s official for more.
Show-Ska are taking snapshots of their smiles in the very ska single “Smile.” Yep. That’s it.
If you love Ska music, then Show-Ska is your band. It’s like 11 dudes who have been in the game since the late 90′s. And they have a new album 続 横SKA愚連隊 血風録 coming out in November of 2012 (I think). Check Show-Ska’s website for updates.
So kick back, watch “Smile” and look out for the girls in the santa suits.
Feelflip want their freedom back. They want to mix their blend of ska music with heavy chords, to form this hard punk ska to give you nightmares. And for some reason, if that doesn’t work, they want to scare you with masks.
You can get your freedom at CDJapan when you pick up For Fighting released on 9.19.2012.
Flip it over at Feelflip’s official website.
How bout an accordian and brass jam session this morning? Check out this awesome live performance video for “Rock Fort Rock” by Mitsukaze & Green Massive. Looks like it was a blast.
If you like what you hear, the combo are back again with a new album 報いの唄 released possibly on 4.1.2012. Not really sure much about it, but it comes with a DVD and details are available at their website. It also looks like this song isn’t on this album either, so what do I know anyway.
Check out Slow Burnin’ online store to order.
