AZURE#. That’s Azure Sharp, not Azure Hashtag. This trio of girls are visions of beauty that might be wearing wigs. “VISION～未来～” is JPOP with a little bit of rock, little bit of piano and a whole lot of pop.
The lead singer Juri does most of the work. Aya dances and raps with her deep voice. The other girl Rumi… not so much. She just dances.
AZURE#’s first single Balance Game dropped waaay back on 8.28.2013. Read more about it at the band’s official website.
It’s just a friendly game of midnight tag. Right? Find out for sure when you watch the not so innocent video to Oomori Seiko’s “Midnight seijun isei koyu.”
Waaaaaaa. The song is a JPOP gem. It’s sparkly but also deathly shrill at times (there is some serious screaming midway through.) It’s as beautiful as the flower in Oomori Seiko’s hair and as sharp as her black tipped fingernails.
Find this baby on her album Zettaishoujo launching on 12.11.2013 at Yesasia.

Bathe your toes in the window sunight with Rina Katahira. She can rock out on either an electric or acoustic guitar and still come off as sincere and cute. “On’na no ko wa nakanai” show that girls don’t cry. They just write songs about their problems and will probably be paid handsomely for it.
She might look at mess with her stringy just woke up hair and her football jersey over dress outfit. Yet she sings like Tomoko Kawase and can strum a guitar like the best of these girl singer songwriters.
Her single “On’na no ko wa nakanai” is dropping 1/15/2014 at Yesasia and CDJapan.

When 9Muses announced they were releasing a +25 video, the KPOP community went bonkers. And then they dropped this number… “GLUE.”
Turns out the average age of the 9Muses is 25 y ears old. Waa-waa-waaa. You and me and everyone just got psyched out.
Well you can still stay for the slinky figures and outfits. More than once you’ll still shout out, “Dat ass!” So quit your complaining. Plus the song is disco dancey fun.
For more full body poses, visit 9Muses’ official website. I wouldn’t be surprised if this track is on US iTunes soon if not already.
Holy Christmas bells, this snuck passed me. Band jyanaimon! don their seasonal santa apparel in the wonderful “Yukifuru Yoru ni Kiss Shite.”
The girls are adorable in their poses, their weird sideways floor exercises, their Christmas red dresses and jumping on beds. Most exciting is when they beat each other up in the rock solo.
The only thing cooler would be to see the band in their underwear. Luckily, you can if you check out the cover of this single at CDJapan and Yesasia. Buy it on 12.18.2013.

Girl power! Vivivid likes to move it baby in their debut single “Love2Move.”
These girls have attitude, a hip hot pop single and maybe super powers. The song is instantly infectious and could easily be put in rotation on the radio and would be a no-brainer for cosmetic commercials. This is a winner.
Look out for Vivivid to drop this single digitally on 12.4.2013. Like Vivivid on Facebook now!
Vivivid’s official website brings the noise so have your computer speakers ready.
See what’s going on underneath the table in lyrical school’s latest video for “My Kawaii Nichijyo-tachi.” So what are these girls doing on the daily? Let’s find out.
Laundry, juicing, tuning instruments, playing golf, and bouncing in their hot red jeep! Sweet.
Not going to lie. This song is Kawaii in more ways than one. The BPM are ramped up, but still maintains idol pop sensibilities. But what makes lyrical school, lyrical school is the rapping. So throw a party and look out for the Waratte.net/My Kawaii Nichijyo-tachi single out 12.11.2013 at Yesasia and CDJapan.

Eeka! Eeka! Eeka! Eeka! Eeka!? Hippity hop fresh scratching jams from S/mileage? Hellz yeah!
But how does this dancey jitterbug single stack up against the nice guy single “Iiyatsu.”
The girls are in regular outfits in “Iiyatsu” and a little more refined in their dancing. Lots of posing. But the synth is cranked full blast on this track and the synth breakdown is top notch.
Reading the translation to this song is a little bit disturbing. It’s a tale of lonilessness, being stuck at home while their men are out in the world having fun. S/mileage needs the internet or something to make friends.
This is a tough battle because I actually like both singles. I’ll give “Eeka” the edge on fun, but “Iiyatsu” tells a wonderful story.
You win either way because both are released on one CD on 12.18.2013 at Yesasia and CDJapan.

Look out for their latest single slated for a 12.25.2013 release. CDJapan is taking preorders.
