Hikare to Kaze Hi-Fu want you to answer the phone, open up that email and respond to that text. Or NOT.
“純恋RocK♡” is a green-screen love machine of a video that will have you seeing more than double. The girls with guitars and oversized glasses are so annoyingly ringtone poppy on this song you’ll never want pick up your phone again. But if you dig 80′s retro pop and video effects, “純恋RocK♡” will charm the pants off of you.
Find this on the Junren Rock album released 4.8.2013 at CDJapan and Yesasia.

The telephones are bringing the 80′s back big time with their Flock of Seagulls hair and Adam Ant attire in the amazing clip for “Don’t Stop the Move, Keep on Dancing!!”
Whistles are blowing, synth is soaring, and the guitars are shimmering. God this song is pure early 80′s love. Dig the clothes, and dig the bad sway dancing. Someone gimme an eyepatch.
Get your ass over to CDJapan and grab this single out 11.6.2013.
Ring-a-dingy the Telephones’ official website.
Well are you hungry yet? Suiyobi no Campanella is eating roses (or are they candy apples?) in this synth-tastic rap video for “Marie Antoinette.”
It’s cool chilled out synthesizers and a girl rapping. Add some animated still photos for motion and you get one cool ass video. At times the synth acts as a cold night, other times it’s a frantic run through the streets. Good stuff.
Find this song on Suiyobi no Campanella’s 2nd mini album 羅生門 out 10.9.2013.
It’s always Wednesday at Suiyobi no Campanella’s website.

This is how we do. You and Me, we like the chopsticks. Boom. Drop the mic.
That’s all Jenny Branch and MIKU have to do to get the party started. “Chopsticks!!” might be playing up the Japanese aspect with the traditional robes and all, but Jenny Branch and MIKU are laying down some sick old school Hip Hop. This is like 80′s double dutch J.J. Fad shit right here.
Buy this single on 9.25.2013 at iTunes.jp. The Chopsticks EP contains four tracks.

Don’t call Nagareda Project fakers. I’m pretty sure the band who wears the paper masks actually jumped out of a helicopter in their video for “fake.”
Two guys in suits kidnapped the rock band, blind fold them and take them to a helicopter for a jump out of a helicopter. They then force them to rock out in a field…
Nagareda Project, when not forced to do crazy things, rock out with an old school 80′s metal vibe. It’s awesome.
Find “Fake” on the album of the same name dropping on 9.18.2013. Score it at CDJapan or Yesasia.
Check out Nagareda Project’s official website to see their killer artistic covers of the album.
Pull out your headbands and prepare to sweat to the 80′s. Nakayoshi group is back with it’s synth and drumkit spacey single “Haru no Arashi.”
The video is a mix of Tron grids and sexy aerobic workout girls from the 1980′s. It’s pixelated sex for you. The music is pure porno dream soundtrack music. LOVE IT.
I’ve raved about Nakayoshi group’s album. Grab The Jesus Vs Cheatman on 7.24.2013. Look at the sexy artwork over at CDJapan and Yesasia.
Check out Nakayoshi group’s tumblr for more.
Someone zapped ICON (Noh Min Woo) back into the 80′s with this stellar dance pop single “ROCKSTAR.”
From the Tron grid graphics, to the neon exercise outfits to cheerleader spelling of I-C-O-N, this video has it all. It’s pretty damn catchy too.
You can also catch ICON’s latest Iconic Oh Disco ‘Rock Star” on 7.3.2013 at Yesasia.
This should be his Korean Wiki page, if you want more background. Formerly of TRAX and he’s done K-drama too.
Towa Tei’s “Radio” is so chock full of 80′s nostalgia you might lose your robotic head.
From the super laser synth and computer beeps and boops, you’ll be convinced that Radio is back to kill the Video Star. I absolutely love this. There is definitely a Buggles vibe here.
Plus if you love retro boom boxes and portable TV’s that you can only find at your local pawn shop, well Towa Tei brings them front and center in this awesome video.
Stay up all night and get Lucky. That’s the new album from Towa Tei out 7.10.2013. Preorder at Yesasia or CDJapan.

Meet the girls at Dalshabet’s official website.
Girls are killing it. @djtomoko n Ucca-Laugh get it completely right in the highly danceable club track “釣られた女の怒り心頭,” which sounds like 80′s group The Jets “Crush on You” meets Sheila E. meets Jennifer Lopez’ best dance tracks.
It’s a latina hip hop flavor that’s been missing for a hot minute, and @djtomoko n Ucca-Laugh bring it back BIG TIME.
Their latest collaboration looks to be iTunes only. Released 9.26.2012 look for the EP Makuake Ceremony.
