Flaky Pastry, created by Felix Lavallee, is a very colorful sci-fi/fantasy webcomic about three roommates Nitrine, Marelle, and Zintiel and their wacky magical adventures. While there are three main characters, the cast has grown rather large.
What drew me to the webcomic was the great character designs. Particularly, I love the noses of each character, a very distinct look for each cast member and that takes skill. Kudos to Felix for the awesome facial features.
Flaky Pastry started in 2005 and it might take a while to go through the archives from the beginning, but it is totally worth your time. Flaky Pastry has some great storylines. The currently story-line involves Nitrine time travelling into the future.
The website itself is very easy to navigate and that’s always great for any webcomic website. The last thing you want to do is have trouble going from comic to comic and Flaky Patry’s site is simple to use and as easy as turning a page.
Flaky Pastry updates once a week, but I look forward to every friday. I bookmarked it and you should too.
