I wish I could say this was a review, but I’ve only had KH for 1 day. So here are my first impressions.
Long introduction. Check.
Utada theme song. Check.
Lots of cutscreens. Check.
When do we play again? Huh? Check.
After about 20 minutes it was time to actually start the game tutorial missions. I was curious to see if this 3-d KH would feel like the Ps2 version and surprisingly.. it does. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days plays pretty much the same way as the Ps2 version. Wielding the keyblade is pretty much just like your Ps2 controls. It was not hard to get back into the groove of collecting munies and hearts.
I”m over an hour in and I’m still doing tutorial missions, so I’m assuming this KH game is going to be a time killer.
Don’t bother with the stylus. I haven’t found a good reason to use it yet.
I’m guessing the Nintendo Ds is probably big in missions and side quests, so it will hold my attention for most of the fall. I did not elect to buy the big hint book at Gamestop. So either pity me or laugh at my attempt at failure.
Anyway, my first impressions are that this is the real Kingdom Hearts only minitured for the Nintendo Ds and I’m glad to get back to some keyblade action.
And yes I put that Kingdom Hearts poster up in my office. I’m just that nerdy.

This game rules.. check out this review
