Man I loved Stabbing Westward. During the mid-90′s they were my go-to for angry music band. Before emo took over the kids in the millenium, angry industrial was the way to go.

Christopher Hall was the lead singer and he had such a great voice. The first time I ever saw Stabbing Westward was on an old Jon Stewart Talkshow (this was waaay before the Daily Show). I was hooked. I bought Ungod, Wither Burn Blister and Peel and The Darkest Days.. all 3 were great albums. I even saw them in concert in Greensboro.

But my favorite song was SHAME. A girl in her underwear dancing and then getting stalked… what a killer video.

After Stabbing Westward ended, Christopher Hall started a new band, The Dreaming. And this sounds a lot like Stabbing Westward except less industrial and more emo/goth rock. Check out their myspace. The songs are still pretty darn good and I’m loving the “Send me an Angel” remake.
